As frustrating as it got at times watching plays not really connect and break down offensively, watching them get highly outshot, having the PP look like a train wreck (minus the Petey blast), etc.
I think what was good was many of the shots against didn't feel high danger. The penalty kill was very good last night, and they still mostly contained the game well. It never really got too scrambly or chaotic.
And they still scored 5 on a rather off night.
This is how I can truly tell this team's mindset and systems are vastly superior this season.
Injuries are the only concern I have going forward. That us when I think they might be tested the most, internally.
PDG is looking like the perfect player to be inserted into the line with Boeser and Miller. Boeser and Miller can do the scoring, while PDG just goes out there, forechecks like there is no tomorrow, and provides that grit that gives the scorers the room needed to do their thing. Some people have said PDG has the vibe of Alex Burrows; I would go further back and say that he gives me the feeling of a Sergio Momesso…
It's funny that both the Canucks and Oilers players and coaches are disappointed in their play last night. The difference being the Canucks still won 5-2 against a weaker opponent while the Oilers lost to the worst team in the league.
No clue. Even the Boudreau bumb didn't show any structure. Look this team will have a slide. Its called .500. This team is going to chase Vegas all year. I would love to hear a maturity with Drance. However stats never include chemistry
You don’t have to be fantastic to win just better than the other team. But everyone does their job and doesn’t panic so structure works and that gets the win.
Can you imagine what the buzz around this team would be if we had Bedard and he was setting all sorts of rookie records the way Hughes is setting/matching all his own records?

Di Gueseppe gives me Burrows vibes.

Filthy G is the best interview uncensored
Canucks will have a slide. It will probably be a 5 wins 5 loss stretch.
Kuzmenko should be traded over the guys no one wants. Seems like a guy who is more interested in his endless summer than playing hockey
why does he look like swayze in ghost . turn the defog on

Hughes is undoubtedly great. Hopefully the rules don't change during the playoffs as they normally do.
Drance speaks a good game but is just a talking head….. Big up to PDG and CO
Not a lot of kids aspire to be defensemen at the onset of their journey
