The oilers arent making an actual comeback, they were saying cup or bust. They have way to many issues to fix this with insignificant trades, its not just the goalies. They have to trade 1 or both if they dont want to lose them for nothing.
I hope they trade Anderdon. A bag of pucks and his contract will be good enough.

We need to pull the trigger and go get 1 of those star players… Nylander,Draisaitl… if we got Michkov,Cooley, i wouldnt be so worried, but we really need a big offensive winger… Both teams need a defensive defenceman, and we got the answer : Savard
I mean, Slaf could be that star, I think that's why they drafted him. MTL made it clear that he will take time to develop, and that they know and will be patient with him. How star are we talking? Is it 80 pts? could be. He could reach 90 pts someday imo. They question is, when are MTL pushing for a Cup run. If its in 4-5 years, I wouldn't do that type of trade. If it was in 1-2 years, then a trade for a superstar could make sense

Bro I seen some thing on Habs Fanatics anouncing a trade between the Habs and Flames.. Lmk if this is true or not. The habs trade Brendan Gally and Josh Anderson for Huberdeau. Edit: This wasnt true and was just and idea. Sorry for people who thought it was true my bad for reading wrong.
I dont like either the Slaf or Reinbacher picks.. They both are great players with size and fit the team well but points matter more then size a lot right now. New Jersey looks like a future dynasty without much notable size. Having some big players like Slaf is good but why not Michkov???! Hes a possible Ovi in a high scoring era. Is that not enough? Reinbacher probably takes 3 years to be an NHL player anyway. That dosent mean hes a good one at the start either. Michkov will be.
Suzuki is underrated this year i wont be surprised if he gets close to 100 pts. Loving Newhook too . Imagine if Dach was still in the lineup, that was the terrible bad luck that had to happen
remember when the Habs didn't draft Zadina? Lots of fans were upset thinking the Habs had made a big mistake, but where is he now? Stop whining about not drafting Michkov, the scouts and management know a heck of a lot more than you do! 6 teams were looking for the best player they could get, and passed on Michkov, that should tell you something!
Habs have ZERO superstar players. Suzuki, Caufield and Dach are good players but not superstar nor elite player.
We need RNH or Draisaitl, we need no 1 center.
Others maybe but Leon nah , most of his goals come on tapins on the power play he is not a leader he cannot carry his own line Oilers fans know this . Pass .
Defenseman take longer to reach there full potential, so if they are still in the bottom five, they will have a shot at a very good forward, but it is very likely with all that trade capital on defence, they will weaponize it, and buy talent in free agency,once the last of the bad contracts r gone!
