Weirder topic today for sure, but I wanted to talk a bit more about Montreal Canadiens top prospect / rookie Cole Caufield, and the recent games he’s had against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames.

In particular, we’ll be talking about online fan reactions to Caufield’s—so far pointless—debut.

  1. Habs fan saying he is the next Wayne Gretzky 😂😂😂😂

Can't wait to see Simmonds smoke him up on the ice 🔥

  2. Yea as an american hockey fan I must say, you Canadiens are pretty harsh on your teams. High expectations I guess and nothing wrong with that, just my observation.

  3. Another video about how Twitter, the media and YouTube comments represent the entirety of the Leafs fanbase. I honestly don't care about Caufield and hope he does well. But then the rest of the leagues fans get one sour comment or one nasty comment and the Leafs are the worst yet thousands of fans flood every mention of the Leafs and the Leafs deserve it. Not shocked in the slightest.

  4. Imo Caufield is overrated especially by habs fans since they have not had a point per game player since 2008 I do think he will be a good player but not as good as habs fans are saying.

  5. I did pass on him to draft another player in my pool. And the other guy also has 2 games played. I love seeing this stuff on the web when going out for coffee.

  6. He just need more experience. He's gonna be sick eventually.

I also think the commentary for the Habs and leafs game didn't help. They wouldn't shut up about Cole and made him seem like he's the next McDavid.

  7. Lol… scoring 3 goals in your NHL debut or none… doesn't mean anything. Look at Poehling. The thing with Caufield is that the kid doesn't look out of place anywhere he plays. Plus he just scored his first NHL goal. Gg.

  8. Cole Caufield (5'7) is the next ..
    Theoren Fleury 1.00pt/game (5'6)..
    Marty St Louis 0.91pt/game (5'8)..
Can't wait to see him play the rest of the season.. AND PLAYOFFS!

  9. Dude 0.000000000000001 of Leaf fans hating online doesn’t represent us as a whole. Caufield is going to be a stud NHL player for many years to come.

  10. People wanna talk about a 19 year old rookie playing his first games in the playoffs? Same guys jumping on Matthews D and what has he done in the playoffs? That’s right, he chokes

  11. This one aged so very well no? I wish all the best for Maple Leafs but they don't respect their opponent & primary rival & that that will always sabotage them imho
