Thatcher Demko Is a Demon

In this video I talk about why Vancouver Canucks’ star goalie, Thatcher Demko, is in fact a demon. I also talk about how infuriatingly negative the Vancouver media is toward the Canucks and declared it my mission to provide an alternative media source that focuses more on the positives. The Canucks will win the Stanley Cup this year.

  1. I’m a Tampa fan living in Tampa, and I happened upon a Canucks practice on Wednesday at the Lightning’s practice facility partner in advance of the game Thursday. It caught me off guard. I recognized the logo on the practice jerseys right away, but I didn’t think it was the actual Canucks until I recognized Rick Tocchet on the ice with them. I was there for a private coaching session which took place after their practice, and several of the Canucks wound up clustered by the corner of the rink doing something while my session was going on. It made me really self-conscious because they kept looking over. I was just trying not to fall over.

Anyway, I was also at the game Thursday cheering for the Lightning, but the Canucks looked really good out there. In fact, I’m pretty sure they lost mostly due to a momentum swing after Ian Cole hooked Brandon Hagel which got Kucherov going on the PP. Ian Cole was always taking penalties at the worst times last year when he played for the Lightning, so it didn’t surprise me. But on the whole, the team looks good this year despite that outcome. They outplayed the Lightning for significant stretches and held the lead long enough to make me feel like the Lightning would lose until that Cole penalty.

  2. I’ve been a canucks fan my entire life, but they’re mentally weak. They have been since they lost to Boston in 2011 really. It’s sad to see my home team in a state like this

  3. Bro your 5-2 win over Nashville with 2+ petey goals was prophetic, just predicted it on the wrong Nashville game. Looked too far into the future.
