Very reminiscent of the Vegas game. They put in so much effort. Well-deserved win.
Gallagher’s resurgence has been incredible to watch. Can’t believe he’s playing like this, I’d resigned myself to the painful farewell tour. It might still come, but god do I love this guy.
I really like the puck retrieval on that 2nd line, can’t help but think that Monahan would fit beautifully between Slaf and Caufield.
On the defensive side, Guhle is so good. His offensive has really blossomed this year. I’ve been burned before on defensive prospects but I really want to see this young defensive core explode. There’s so much talent there, I’d love to see it rival something like the mid-2015 Nashville core.

LFG what a game! Incredible performances from Suzuki, Guhle (first of the year for him!), and Monty, who was lights out. Anderson finally gets a point too. Huge game from the boys against a top team.
Number one highlight though is seeing Gally’s resurgence. Feeling much better that he’ll be a positive contributor for a few more years as we come out of the rebuild.

Hot take : Brendan Gallagher has been playing close to what his cap hit indicates he’s worth since the start of the season.
*GOOD*
– Excellent from the Habs. That’s a very good team they just beat (and it was no fluke) Habs were the better team. Very very good performance from the lads. Heard a collective “Yes” when that goal in OT went in.
– Did he have some turnovers? He did. But that’s a step in the right direction from Josh Anderson. Do I think he can turn his season around which has he’s been objectively bad? Not confident, but that’s a good game overall.
– Guhle is such a beast. It’s always a bit funny to me behind hab fans he doesn’t really get talked about much. Already a top 2 D man and that’s not a reactionary thing after his OT goal.
– Suzuki nasty. Couple of plays that few players in the league can do. That one set up where Anderson was robbed was excellent.
– Monty great job dude I would define as just an absolute baller in the net.
– Special teams!!!!!! Guys were blocking shots man boys were Layin on down good stuff. Jake Evans in particular.
– Team plays hard win or lose.
– Gallagher is back. Resurgence. I and many others wrote him off I see zero difference from Gallagher today to the Gallagher that was in his prime. Will it last? Idk but I think it’s here to stay.
*BAD*
– Some very very weird officiating. Idk I think it went both ways but odd you can just chuck a blocker at somebody’s head and have it not penalized. This whole game management thing is just brutal and that’s where the both ways comes in.
– I want to see a bit more from Newhook. Has he played bad? No but potential for a little more out there.
