  1. Habs beating the Wings 3-2 in OT was one thing but for them to beat the Bruins 3-2 in OT, holy crap!. No where is safe in the Atlantic.

  2. Habs success this year has seemed precarious at times, maybe even a little lucky, but one hopeful sign is that they've been pretty consistently performing well against the top tier teams.

  3. So, Montreal went to the shootout against Vegas, but Lost, Won in OT against Boston, so thats 3 points against the top 2 teams, pretty good

  4. In fairness to Big Bird, there was no overtime in the regular season until 1982, so the only time he could have scored in OT was in the playoffs.

  5. Former Habs dynasty had Robinson, Lapointe, Savard as the backbone of their defence. Now we have Guhle, Matheson, and potentially Reinbacher, Mailloux, Hutson. Scary lineup!

  6. Gallagher actually deflected the puck to the ice and then dived and placed it in behind the keeper. Enjoyed that game. Played with 5 defencemen for a long time and won.

  7. gulie is playing well but i wish he would stop trying to block shots ( like the human screener savard , also known as the zamboni ) & move his feet to get the puck or clear the front so our goalie can stop the puck. that alone will make him all NHL

  8. & mathison is struggling on defense. i hoping he just takes the puck & goes forward with it every time then he will look like the good petry ( i used to call him our best forward) & the habs will be better offensively

  9. oh yea one more thing develop slav in laval.. this is getting to be a joke. keep armia in the booth …pazzetta & arby need to stay on the ice & develop!!!!!!!

  10. I was Looking at the standings and realized that with 14 games in, they are within 2 points of Toronto, New Jersey, tampa, carolina and Colorado wish are all consider top tier contenders… the sheer fact that they are hanging there with them is impressive knowing the inexperience of the team and coaching staff. add to that the fact that the habs have a sizeable amount of young talented players coming up in the next 3 years… this team will be really fun to watch real quick
