Unfortunately, we won't be able to keep him. We should likely be trading him and picking up a couple of good defencemen.
Timmins value contract for another couple years can take a spot and Lagasson value contract who can also take a spot. Problem solved your welcome lol

Leafs would be outside their mind to let Nylander go. He's been consistently one of their best players and always shows up in the playoff season and for big games where scoring and energy is needed. I'd sooner let Marner go than Nylander.

BTW William Nylander is now a 12 million dollar player – and MLSE should STILL be leaning heavily in the direction of signing him. He's one of the most electric, exciting players to watch in the entire league now, has been for a while, and will be for the rest of his career.
At this point I would keep willy over mitch if I had to pick. Willy is growing and his game is expanding while Mitch (who I like) seems more a one trick pony so to speak and is still stuck in his own little box while Willy has busted out of his box.
as long as the leafs don’t disrespect him with a crazy low ball I think he stays. It’s easier to leave money on the table when you will already retire with like 80m in the bank.
