I really wonder what injury Petey is playing through, he still throws his body so I don’t think it can be anything really serious.
I assume half the team is down on their knees in front of Tocchets hotel room chanting “We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!”
Can’t win them all, this cannot become a big deal until it becomes a repeated pattern of under performance.
Preds, Sharks, Stars, Oilers, were all good games
Sens and Leafs looked like shaky games
Let’s see how they bounce back against the Habs and finish the road trip. 4 out of 6 points would be just peachy, 3 out of 6 would be fine, 2 out of 6 would be disappointing.
Contrary to what was said last night, we out xg% Toronto last night 4.06-3.57. out 5on5 play was sub par yes but it wasn’t a “we’re so bad” type of loss like everyone was implying

Both these East games were lazy and disconnected. I’m not worried yet but so far we start getting dominated the second we can’t choose matchups. That is a very bad sign if we’re thinking about playoffs.
Hopefully it’s just a bad trip, but we can’t continue sucking every time leave Vancouver.
How we respond tonight will be the main test.
Why did our power play look so bad?
On the plus side: the leafs fan that redditcared me yesterday got their account suspended
Leafs did a good job dictating the pace of play. We had no forecheck and were playing a lot of chase. We play a better game when we are hunting the puck down instead of backing up so much. Need to be proactive not so reactive.
I felt this is an under-rated point but I felt we got out-coached. Its clear Toronto made some good adjustments in-game after the first period. We didn’t adapt at all to those changes.
