@Calgary Flames

This was SO depressing to watch

What is going on with Jonathan Huberdeau and the Calgary Flames?? The star forward got benched for the entire 3rd period which eventually resulted in the Flames coming back against the Nashville Predators. But where do the Flames go from here? What do they do with Huberdeau and Kadri’s contracts?! Can the Flames still compete with this roster or do they need to start the retool/rebuild?

So many questions to be answered! I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. Going from Florida to Calgary hits hard. Nothing against Calgary. Love the city. But Florida is probably one of the best places to live plus he played there for years

  2. I don't know whether Huberdeau should just adapt to a slower pace hockey, or is it more Calgary's fault for not utilizing his skills?

  3. Its the different style of hockey the teams played, Panthers play a much more aggressively offensive style which allowed Huberdeau to keep his feet moving and play the style of game he's good at, Keeping his momentum into the zone. If you watch him on the Flames he ends up being stopped at the offensive blue line just waiting so he's often just flat footed with no momentum when he finally gets the puck he's easy pickings for a defender.

    I'm sure there's other issues as well but that seems to be the big one

  4. I have a tough time sympathizing with Huberdeau. He needs to get over himself, become a team player and adapt. Great players overcome and make things happen wherever they are. He simply checked out and sold out.

  5. This is pathetic … you literally quoted what the announcers said during the game the other night and spin it as your own. Youtube content has become so sad….
