I have my own thoughts on this, most of them starting with no no no no please god no, but I thought it was worth posting as I haven’t heard us to be in on him until now, but the post did have a reliable source on him last year as they broke his trade to NY.
ETA: apparently Emily Kaplan said it on ESPN today as well. Again, I don’t think it will or should happen, but it’s kind of weird that we were never speculated to be in on him and now all of a sudden multiple people are saying we are.

Intriguing. Defense is definitely the big issue on this team right now but I also think they only have 5 legit top 6 forwards on the roster. Getting a 6th would allow guys to fit into roles they’re probably better suited for. That surgery is scary though, I’m sure they’d heavily vet his health before pulling the trigger.

I don’t love kane but I wouldn’t mind seeing it happen for cheap. Of course he is not the Patrick Kane be used to be, but you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think he’d be able to at least provide a spark to our offense, especially with how dead it’s been the last couple games

I may be in the minority here but please yes. He’s still got the talent and I think would add so much to our 2nd line. If he’s doing a cheap contract I say go for it. Our defense gets no better but at this point I think the players aren’t the problem there as much as the coaching is
