  1. Pick a goalie. This 3 goalie thing does not work. No goalie can stay sharp playing once a week. Allen started the season well, but has only played twice in the past two weeks. Please stop playing Primeau; can’t afford to give games away. If he hasn’t beaten out Montembault and Allen by now………

  2. Roy is clearly the best player on the ice whenever he is on the ice in the AHL. He can dance through opponents with the puck on a string. Great passes and great shots of all types. The kid will be a top player on the Habs.

  3. I fear the worst for Arber same shoulder. Matheson is suck a puck hog. That shot over the net when he had options causing the odd man rush and shorty is unforgivable for a veteran

  4. I am going to say this thing Brendan Gallagher cannot pass the puck, now and throughout his career! He can not skate for the last several years and he is is slow. . But honestly he is a guy who gets worse and worse and in the end with a double minor. Bench him #11 and maybe put him on waivers! seriously he is slower than a turtle. Thanks for the memories.

  5. i've never see two guys Colide like Barbeshov and Xhekaj…
Barbeshov is a solid player, but boi did he ever stood up Xhekaj.

massive collision, but i hope Arber is okay, and the decision of pulling him was just precautionary.

  6. The Habs should not let Gallagher play the last minutes of play. Such a liability due to those late penalties.

  7. the penalty should have been 5 + game misconduct, and not just 4 minutes only
many of you are whining the reffs put you down, no not at all it's in your whining canadian mind only
the fans of montreal are so weak and pathetic
caufside and shltkovsky both delivered another clown show, especially shltkovsky whos reactions and understanding of hockey are worse than the hungarian navy is
montreal plays good hockey for an amateur team

  8. I shouldn't comment, because I didn't watch the game. But the REASON I didn't watch the game was because I've seen nothing much lately to make me feel like watching it would end up in anything more than frustration and disappointment. I knew this game was a loss the moment I read that Primeau was the starter. I'll take your word for it that he actually played well for a change, though 😯.

The most important thing right now, though, is how do we look moving forward? And it's just not good at all. It is glaringly clear at this point that we do not have a SINGLE elite player on this team, or anyone who might even 'project' to be. I know we were all hoping that Caufield would be the elite sniper we've lacked for years (decades even…since Stephane Richer!), but at some point we have to face facts that he just isn't. He's got 5 goals. 1 or maybe 2 at 5-on-5. Nothing to sniff at, sure, but would anyone in their right mind consider Brandon Rust an 'elite sniper'? Because he's sitting at 9. And maybe more to the larger point, so is Tyler Toffoli.

As much as I love Nick Suzuki, he's a second line center on ANY team in the league looking to be a serious contender either now or at any point in the future. We don't have a single top-line winger, either. Unless someone wants to try to name one?? I'll throw it out there as a challenge, maybe. And we have no projected anchor on D. It's not Matheson…as his defensive liabilities have made very clear. Might it be Guhle?? Maybe…but is he shaping up to be a Hedman or anything close to that? I love his progression, but I don't see it. He'll be a superb second-pairing D, or maybe even a partner to an elite first-pairing guy. But he's not going to ever be a Norris candidate, is he? Just asking you to think about it. Because all serious contenders need one.

So here we stand two years into this supposed HUGO rebuild, and all I'm actually able to even talk about seriously are players that Bergevin brought on board. Where are the HUGO guys? We have zero elite talent. And our 'coaching' is not anywhere close to 'contender-level'. If not for Monahan, our PP is mediocre. And our PK is just brutally lacking in any semblance of structure. We have 2 '1B' goalies, but no clear #1 and seemingly no coaching for the guys we have in there. And HUGO's main strategy seems to loading up on former high draft picks who their original teams gave up on. Probably for good reason.

In short, it's an absolute FUBAR situation in every single aspect of the operation. The only positive is that if Ottawa, Buffalo, and the Isles win their games in hand over us, we sit in second-last place in the East. So maybe we'll get a fairly high pick in next year's draft and get lucky. But I wouldn't trust HUGO and our scouting staff to make much out of it anyway.

  9. 4 – also, greetings from the Netherlands 🤙
Let's hope the injuries stay few and short term. The team looks promising at full strength.

  10. Seems like Primeau is excellent from in close, but not as effective on shots that come from further back. Incidentally that’s the book on him and teams shoot more from further back when Primeau is in nets! Hence the large disparity in shots on goal in this game!

  11. We can’t get rid of Sean Farrell! Im at the Rocket games every Wednesday, the player with the best style and stands out every play is Farrell he’s a future 2nd liner in the NHL

  12. You'd pardon a youngster on his first or 2nd year in the NHL for doing the shit Gally did in this 3rd period, not such an experienced player on a season he's supposed to help set the tone for the team and highlight the path to the upcomers. Second game of doing such shit, this time with even worse of a screw up than the first, i'd sent him to the ECHL for a game or two to cool off and regroup. (Ok, maybe just the one, we still need the team not to make the playoffs to get a better draft posish, so in the end it's helpful, but that's still unacceptable from him ahah)
