You don't need THE goalie, you need A goalie. There've been Cup winning teams that didn't have elite goalies. The Oilers just need someone who won't flat out lose games for them. They thought that would be Campbell (the "p" is silent by the way) but he looks even worse in the AHL right now. Jake Allen would probably be like the next Dwayne Roloson.
What if they trade to get both Carey price and shea webers ltir contracts to gain 3.8m is cap room. It’ll give them freedom to make a trade.
Who will Edmonton giving up?
Get rid of Allen and bet on youth and save a few million $? Or go for experience and get rid of Primeau?

I can see Allen being traded to Edmonton. Allen would be a good fit and maybe a new environment might be what Allen needs to raise his game.
The thing is that the Oilers actually gives up less shots and generates over 30 shots per game. Its just the goalies couldnt make timely saves
