The Minnesota Wild rallied from 2 goals down in the third period, but ended up losing 4-3 in Overtime to the Toronto Maple Leafs to finish the Sweden trip 0-0-2. The Wild are now 5-8-4 on the season. Jon Merrill scored his first goal of the season to give the Wild a 1-0 lead, but the Leafs scored 3 straight to take a 3-1 lead into the third period. Jake Middleton scored to pull the Wild within one at 3-2, and Mats Zuccarello tied the score on a great feed from Brock Faber right in front of the net. William Nylander scored in OT to give the Leafs a win and a 5th straight loss for the Wild. Marc-Andre Fleury saved 21 of 25 shots, but the Wild were 0-3 on the Power Play and did not have a Power Play goal in either Sweden game. The Wild are off until Friday when they host the Colorado Avalanche.

Kaprisov has been horrendous also. Imma repeat what I’ve said before. Find out if Kaprisov is still hurt from last year and run a shit ton of tests because god forbid he goes Matt Dumba on us. If he’s healthy then psychological evaluations need to be done if he’s not forthcoming about why he seems tepid at best out there on the ice. If he doesn’t want to play here find a team he wants to play for and 3 number one picks and two 2nd round picks and he’s yours. Please don’t let him pull a Marion Gaborik on us and leave with NADA to show for it. Personally I don’t give a shit if it’s a marketing nightmare you guys already signed three or four guys to long term extensions that will probably need walkers in the next year or two. As far as Dean Evason goes he’s a good guy played hard when he played but he’s not the guy in my opinion that will help your organization bring up the young guys and develop them. Dean Evason is Mike Zimmer in hardline thinking but he’s a nice guy version of Mike Zimmer but both have one thing in common neither are innovators and that’s what we need.
