Drew Commesso has been tearing it up in the AHL this season, during his first professional season he has a .919 SV% and a 2.22 GAA with a shutout in 5 games this season and was given the player of the month for the Rockford IceHogs. Drew Commesso revealed that he had trained in the off-season with Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman. Arvid Soderblom on the other hand has been put on a pedestal by goalie coach Jimmy Waite who has coached NHL legends in his career. He compared Arvid Soderblom to Corey Crawford based on his calmness and how unfazed he is by pressure. The Blackhawks have been hit with many injuries this season but have been slowly coming back to fully healthy. Nikita Zaitsev is away from the team for personal reasons, Andreas Athanasiou and Jarred Tinordi will both be a while before practicing again but with talent like Connor Bedard, Lukas Reichel, Kevin Korchinski and Philipp Kurashev, the Blackhawks will continue striving for success in their absence.
