  1. Get rid of Myers so the Canucks fan mob can beat down on another of the many plugs in this terribly built team

  2. Growing up, my wife’s neighbor was Gene Kinisky. Blaine, WA. Used to work out in his driveway wearing only a speedo with a pair of tighty-whitey’s on underneath it. Interesting guy.

  3. The problem is that as you get older, your foot speed tends to go. If you're a bigger guy, that gets amplified. Myers is fine if he's back in position and doesn't have the puck. But give him the puck in his own zone and he's a misadventure – at least at this stage of his NHL career. He was never a particularly speedy guy, but he was a big, puck moving D man in his prime. There's a point at which your skills leave you and your weaknesses end up getting worse over time instead of better. There's a reason the Canucks haven't been able to move him. Even if they retain salary, they may have to throw in a pick or prospect or take back another bad contract and then they're back at square one. Some fans think being an GM is easy because they've played an EA Sports game. You just give up what you don't want for what you need. I remember when Myers was signed, the reaction was relatively positive. He was a big 2 way defensemen and fans, like now, were starved for playoffs already and felt he might be a big help. I wasn't convinced, but I was willing to give management a chance. Now, because he's gotten slower, he takes bad penalties because he can't keep up and turning the puck over that often is unacceptable for a veteran player. One thing that should get better with age is your decision making and it hasn't with Myers. All that's changed is his inability to recover after making a bad pass.

  4. The cost of a Canucks game is $1000 for a family of four. Out of reach like a Vancouver Special

  5. My German grandfather was a big fan of Erich Fröhlich. We're talking Vancouver in the late 60s. I recognised every one of those names.

  6. I agree with John, decentralizing the entry draft is a dumb idea. It would lose it's luster. The fans love how it's done now.

  7. Worked on All Star Wrestling in the studio at BCTV tapings Tuesday. You would not believe what happened behind the scenes. Ron Morey was the best

  8. I still can't believe they're playing Myers after his years of crap play, it's like they want to lose and sabotage there seasons?

  9. John Shannon is wrong again. The NFL and NBA drafts are WAAAAAY better than the NHL Draft. The NHL looks ridiculous when a bunch of morons walk up on stage and mispronounce someone's name.

  10. Where did Jeff Paterson go? John Shannon is your worst guest week in and week out. Please get rid of him. Bring on anyone else. He's a dinosaur who only ever defends the NHL and tows the corporate line.

  11. John spent the last minute and a half saying corporate support has dropped in Winnipeg….so then the very next question Rick asks is so John do u think corporate support is an issue there ? Lol cmon Rick ur better than that, gotta stop just reading the questions from the script and improvise. He literally just spent a min and a half answering that! Love Rick tho he's awesome, but thay was just funny lol.

  12. John Shannon is such a clueless clown, why does anyone give him any airtime? His pathetic excuse for the justification of using Singh and Debrusk for the CANUCKS home opener was the final proof I needed of how worthless he is.
