  1. I feel exactly the same. Funny thing is, I told my partner at work this is what was going to happen. Yeah, I know my Canucks. Just hope we make the playoffs. We'll see.

  2. People overlook how altitude affects the body. Short trip doesn't give much time for the body to adjust.

  3. Its a small portion of Avs fans that are just dunking on Hughes because of the years of them comparing Mackinnon to McDavid; now they get to be on the other end of the debate so they become insufferable hyenas. The general consensus is that Makar is the overall better player thus far in their careers. They are the two best defensemen in the league with a tight margin between them and people should just enjoy the show.

The game by the Canucks was okay; they gave up a few costly chances that ended up in their net and Demko wasn't great, especially on the 3rd goal. They also couldn't bury one of like 4 scrambly net-front chances, Garland and Beauviller really have no finish. Pettersson continues being frustrating to watch and not creating much offensively; I think part of it is he's not carrying the puck in stride often and switching up his speed to create space. Personally, I didn't understand why the Miller line was broken up several times and Pettersson's line, who aren't playing well stayed together most of the game.

  4. We all knew that the Canucks making the playoffs this year would be a lofty expectation. Now a lot of fans are expecting them to win every game. And keep this in mind, Rutherford said before the season that for the team to be successful, that EVERYTHING had to go right. At least they have to blow it to NOT make the playoffs….

  5. They had a hot start and banked a ton of points. The reality is they may be a slightly better than 500 team who can win a round in the playoffs, so better than they’ve been in a decade. Expecting more is the delusion

  6. This is a bad take… who cares what Avs fan say. They win because they’re getting under your skin.

  7. Listen I’m an avs fan and I am really happy for Hughes however your team is a fraud I really noticed that in the leafs game in Toronto.

  8. To be fair, two facts. First of all you admit Makar is better. Second, do you realize there's virtually not a single Makar video that doesn't have its share of Hughes' fans, Fox's fans, Dahlin's fans et al who have said, year after year, Makar is inferior to their guy? If you don't know that then it explains why you think Makar fans are insufferable. Get some perspective, it might cool your head. You sound foolish otherwise.

  9. They are both really great. I liked watching them play. I’m an Avs fan, enjoy watching your favorite players friend.

  10. Vancouver did look a little off tonight. They did not look sharp. I’d be willing to bet if we get both teams efforts, it will be one hell of a knock-down-drag-out..

  11. I do agree that the Canucks sucked. They have for several games now. The top 6 is dogshit minus Miller. Lost and not dangerous. Only the bottom 6 is playing hockey.
But damn no need for a temper tantrum

  12. PREACH LEGO!, i have been having to deal with these horrible excuse for fans for weeks!!!!! every time i bring up quinn hughes being the best dman in the league i just get a onslaught of "of he dosent have a stanley he dosent have a hobey baker and so on…. im so frustrated with them , i hope we hurt them when it matters ….in the western conference finals and then and only then will i be satisfied ( oh and when quinn beats makar for the norris AND wins the art ross which he will )

sorry for that rant everyone lol as a nucks fan who has had nothing but downs, i get mad when we finally get a up and those snobby avs fan just try and snuff it out

  13. The Canucks just can't buy a full 60 minutes. It feels like it started on the East Coast to me. They played that mediocre game in Ottawa and still got 5 goals but somehow in the last couple weeks they just seem to have read all those headlines talking about how good they were and think they can play bits and pieces of hockey games and still win. They get up 1-0 in any hockey game of late and they instantly start cruising…next thing it's 3-1 for the other team and the rest of the game they are in chase mode. Or like tonight…they give up a goal on the pk and almost immediately after they fall asleep again so instead of going into the intermission up 1-0 they are 2-1 down. Than they make it into the second intermission tied and you can feel it coming. The inevitable not being ready to start the third period. Sure enough a bad start we're down 3-2 and they start sagging…more sloppiness chasing the game and then Makar scores. It's numerous mini patches of suck spread out over what would otherwise be a decent effort in almost every game lately. And they are WAY too fancy on the power play right now. When it's clicking well it's maybe 3 quick passes and shot…now it is 5 or six passes, hesitate, reset, 5 or 6 more passes…hesitate, take a weak shot that's blocked and have the puck cleared out. Mental breakdowns and poor decision making. They need to get back to basics. Work hard on every shift and get the puck to the net. Stop making all those defensive giveaways. It feels like they are cheating hard right now. They need to regain that humble mindset. With what they have achieved (or not achieved) the last few years they have zero reason not to be.
