You guys are missing the point, the oilers have always been designed to play an all out offensive style game, the fact that the GM didn’t fix the starting goaltending issue over the off season is why they are where they are, fire the GM and get a top five goalie, Skinner and Campbell are backup goalies at best. The star players have no confidence in their current goalies and it shows.

He's giving you the value of the contract you signed him but the other then McDavid & drisedel(lol I know his name is wrong lol) they have to be able to produce other offense besides those 2 players because if either one gets hurt then what? Not to mention their defense isn't good & there goalie is terrible they may not want to but they may have to make a few big trades to find 2 young almost nhl or nhl level goaltenders or prospects because that's how st louis won the cup in 2019 we had 2 nhl level goaltenders split games & it worked because neither goaltenders were tired & they kept switching them out so they both were fresh for each game they played

Lead by example, play with the same tenacity on defense as offense for a stretch of games and show your teammates some heart.

His defense is good not Bergeron elite however RNH has that elite ability to cover McDavid's defensive shortcomings. McDavid, Draisaitl and RNH should be reunited and play together from here on in. RNH is both players two way play glue. Meaning he's aware of his two way play and defensive coverages. RNH will get both players the puck. GM Holland must be fired. He cannot make a trade, that's for the next GM (Kieth Gretzky).

McDavid is all about speed. What happens with Speed in the NHL as players age. If you do not adapt your game drastically you become ineffective. Ask Crosby and Malkin. I prefer Draisaitl long term to McDavid. More odds of Leon winning a Cup because he can slow down the play like Kucherov and Sid.
