Who would have thought all the first line needed was Chicken Parm and a Game against the Flyers to really get going!
Igor is finally himself again. Right down to giving up one goal while the Rangers has already scored 3 goals.
If Mika/Kreider/Wheels have woken up and score goals 5 on 5 with regularity now, the rest of the league is fucked
Got out of work early. Rangers beat the Flyers. Today was a good day.
I legit like every move that was made this offseason. Unreal job by Drury.
Winning on black friday gives me stellar vibes for this team.
They tried to drag this one down into the gutter, but they forgot we know how to play in the mud too. Nice to see Igor back to normal.
Great game. Had a lot of chances and Igor was great. Nice seeing Mika back scoring and the guys keeping it rolling.
Big one tomorrow. LGR
Lav probably told them “alright guys were playing a dogshit team and need to work on our PK skills for Boston tomorrow; so let’s just take a bunch of penalties and fine tune some stuff”

DOMINATION!
Get fucking spanked Philly! Shesty quieting the filthy unbelievers in this sub, and rightly so; man was a brick wall today. Mika also silencing the critics with a two goal showing, and goddammit you love to see it. Now if only this league full of grown ass men could stop throwing hissy fits whenever someone lands a clean hit. I understand wanting to protect teammates from aggressive players and bad collisions, but that is not the case for most of these hits.
Let’s keep the ball rolling, tomorrow is quite possibly one of the biggest challenges we’ll see this team face thus far in the season.
See you in 24 hours.
A little random but I like how the coaching staff was hand selected. Instead of the usual when a coach brings “his” guys in.
5v5 play was about even yet again with Jones/Schneider on the ice. NYR getting reliable play from their 3rd pair is a large difference maker that they had not been getting at all last year
with under 50% OZ faceoffs this season, Jones/Schneider is nevertheless controlling ~48% of shot attempts, scoring chances, and xGs
last year with Harpur/Schneider, who had 53% OZ faceoffs? 43% shot attempt share, 43% shots, 39% scoring chances, 39% xGs
Philly phucking sucks
Let’s go rangers
Home in NY for Thanksgiving but I live in Philly, so this was one of the first games I missed. I love living so close to Wells Fargo because the tickets are cheap and I love pissing off flyers fans lol
Man Trouba has been so good this year, he’s an absolute force and I love having that on our team.
Shesty or Quick in goal tmrw against Boston?
Ideally they need to tighten up on the discipline, what did they say 11 or 12 penalties over the last two games? That’s entirely too many, even if it was against shittsburgh and Philadelphiass. Our pk is outstanding though which is great to have, igor was outstanding which was much needed, and our first line FINALLY got the monkey off their backs and had a great game.
I’m gonna be a harsh critic and say that mika is gonna need more than 2 good games to take my ire off him, but if this is the beginning of his turnaround I’m loving it. No player and no line can be consistently on top of their game for every single game of the season, and we have been relying HARD on panarin and his line to this point of the season. Everyone knows that’s unsustainable regardless of how incredible panarin and laf have been. If that first line can finally become a scoring threat again? The league better watch out even more than they already are, because we are going to be unstoppable with that 1-2 punch in the top 6. Add to that a 3rd line which has been steady all season so far, and a 4th line which seems to be finally showing some bite? AND we’re going to be getting back fox and chytil eventually? Wooooo boy does that get me penisy.
3rd period’s are a bit scary right now, can’t just turtle against great teams. And as others have said, some bad penalties taken the last few games (I won’t even bother commenting on the refs again).
Does anyone have a clip of the offsides goal? Missed the game today and would like to see it.
So just now watching the highlights – why didn’t Hathaway get an instigator for going after Trouba but Cullye gets a misconduct for going after Hathaway? Glad he took down that Philly trash tho. The rook can scrap
Edit: It was great seeing Shesterkin push him out of the crease later too
Didn’t Kreider score in the 3rd? I fell asleep for the last 15 minutes but I could have sworn I heard Sam call a goal for Kreider at some point.
Shesty’s blocker play today was insanity. Besides that one trickle by goal he was a wall.
Trouba is life, Trouba is laugh, Trouba is love.
Lindgren is such a huge part of the defense and other teams are always targeting him. It was so refreshing to see a teammate finally stand up for him.
In other news… Devils just lost their 7th out of 9 games against the Blue Jackets.
