GAME RECAP: Penguins at Sabres (11.24.23) | Taking on the Sabres

The Penguins took to the road for a contest against the Buffalo Sabres to start a series of back-to-back games. Sidney Crosby opened the scoring with a shot from high in the Sabres’ zone off a Jake Guentzel pass to create a 1-0 lead for Pittsburgh. Lars Eller scored in the 2nd period after Matt Nieto recovered a turned-over puck and set up Eller. The middle period ended with a 2-0 Penguins advantage on the scoreboard. In the final period, Skinner scored on the power play to end a streak of 111:22 without a goal allowed by Alex Nedeljkovic. Almost five minutes later, Okposo had a shot redirected into the back of the net to tie things up, 2-2. With under three minutes remaining in regulation, Tuch gave the Sabres their first and only lead of the evening. Pittsburgh returns to action tomorrow night at home against the Maple Leafs.

  1. This team can’t hold a lead to save their life pathetic.. Another terrible season again..

  2. Had such a sense of foreboding going into the third, despite thinking this could be a winnable game. Would've loved to have been wrong esp. as so few points separate the teams.
