[MacIntyre] Garland: “This is the first time I’ve been on team this successful at this point of the year. This is the most fun I’ve had playing hockey in the NHL. When you’re on a winning team, it’s just more fun to come to the rink. You’re always in games. So it has just been a fun year”.

    Couldn’t fit the full quote:
    > “The third line has been great. My goal is to try to drive the offence for that line and be a hard line to match up. It’s been a lot of fun”

I have a feeling Garland is having **fun**.

Also love this part from Blueger about depth guys feeling appreciated by the top guys for their contributions:
    > “Especially on good teams you notice that. Those (depth) guys really appreciate it when everyone lets them know that their contributions are just as important in a lot of ways — blocking shots, killing penalties. When the top guys make you feel appreciated like that, that goes a long way and makes you want to do it even more.”

This is Quinn’s locker room culture they’re talking about.

Great Garland! Let’s rework your contract and pay you 3 million per so the Canucks can bring in a top 4 dman this season. Even more winning. Even more fun.

He owes the fans an apology for how he treated us with that trade demand.

Even our trade requests want to come play in Van. Good years ahead

It’s really great to see him and Joshua getting along after that little scrum early season practice

  7. I absolutely love that line.

Is anyone else blown away by Joshua?? Guy has an absolutely great stick – checking and overall control.

  8. Most of the time I view these guys as fortunate millionaires playing sports, I’m glad I’ve seen the human side of this and how wrong my simplistic opinion was.

Really glad for him and our fan base, the endless loosing and bleak outlook under the last GM really killed my positivity.

Keep being one of our engines Gar and enjoying it!

I had my doubts about Tocchet when he arrived and one reason was I didn’t know how well he’d fit with our core but it seems like all of our top players have bought in.

Garland is the second player that has rescinded his trade request. Boeser was the first.
