  1. God these refs are so unbelievably bad,
it doesn't help some players lean into that sort of thing which creates a chaotic environment on what to call and what is embellishment.
This is no doubt a slewfoot though, there's no reason that shouldn't have been a penalty

  2. Hartman is so f-in dirty it's unbelievable. The interference on Ehlers last year was brutal too. He should get a couple games for this. He deserves more of a reputation than he apparently has.

  3. if you want to keep the stars (anyone in the NHL is) in the game you must suspend so crap like that slew foot doesn't seriously injure, OR get rid of the instigator rule and let players pay for their misdeeds.

  4. Minnesota Wild hockey is alive and well. Enjoy living in the basement of the Central for the rest of the year.

  5. what was debrincat doing interfering with hartman as he was skating after the guy with the puck? No need for the slew foot if thats what he intended to do – but that's also interference on Alex

  6. The league needs a serious review of the officiating, I mean a weeklong sit down with everyone and legal teams from the NHLPA. The NHL cannot go into the winter months going on like this, it simply won’t make it.

  7. 100% intentional but zero damaage.
2 game sussy. Happens again this szn, we'll see what happens.
    Hire me NHL.

  8. Slewfoot should be automatic major and 3 game suspension. It's the absolute biggest coward move there is.

  9. the best part about the nhl is the really unique way it has conditioned its audience into hopelessness. want to watch the game? spend 45 minutes and get your itinerary. finally watching? enjoy the myriad technical errors in the broadcast. oh they ironed those out? have fun watching 45 minutes of makeup calls, play reviews and repeated faceoffs. watch someone get their spine broken in a 50 car pileup of skaters and linesmen? don't worry, the guy that caused it just got fined $5,000 dollars (the maximum amount, and also 1/200th of that guy's salary). at least all these teams are profitable, and only completely unable to do anything meaningful with that margin because of an abysmally low salary cap hamstringing every roster into mediocrity.

  10. Terrible refs, so many eyes on the ice…with tech these days and AI you could catch theses flagrant offenses. NHL Players safety ? George Parros…hahaha

  11. I'm a Wild fan (barely) but where's all the instant replay reviews we kept hearing about for years that would correct these calls? You can go after the refs all you want, but the IR was specifically brought in to stop nonsense like this where you can get Hartman on his slewfoot and keep DeBrincat out of the box.

They said technology would be great for the game and solve these horrendous missed calls, but it would seem we still have a long, long way to go yet.

    Depressing to say the least.

  12. With 2 refs on the ice this is unbelievable, if u let jugheads like hartman go after star players your asking for trouble
