To the fans who were saying let’s look at possibly firing Donny and I’m looking at you Paul Hamilton 🤡

This is my favorite item I’ve ever bought at the Sabres store, I love Donny and let’s go Buffalo!!

P-ham should’ve retired or been fired years ago. He’s a joke. Asks the same basic questions every interview

The doomers are all going to arrive in a clown car to this thread.

Paul Hamilton has consistently been the worst part of following the Sabres for years. If he wasn’t part of the old boys club, he’d have been gone years ago. The dudes entire personality is less exciting than watching paint dry.

  4. Did that ass clown suggest that? He’s horrendous at his job.

  5. Adams needs to make the obvious moves, and granato needs to stop putting 4th liners on higher lines

I knew this was going to happen lol. If they lose yesterday everyone’s calling for Donny’s head. They had a comeback so everyone’s silent.

I’m on the fence for now, probably 60/40 for keeping him. Can I just say how infuriating it is to me that HES STILL RUNNING WITH THREE GOALIES

One big reason to keep him is Pegula’s track record hiring coaches (for both the Sabres and the Bills). Granato might not be it, but his replacement could be worse. Anyway, I wish Granato great success. He might at a minimum need some new assistants with actual NHL or at least AHL coaching experience though.

This has got to be the most reactionary sub in all of sports. If they lose yesterday this post doesn’t happen and people are making posts about playing 11-7, having 3 goalies, playing Okposo on PP2, playing Johnson above better defenseman. We’d be talking about how Okposo ended the night with more playing time than Peterka. How Krebs is buried with terrible wingers when hes shown to be more than a 4th line grinder. But we come back and win so we get shit tier posts like this.

Can’t we just analyze things for what they are? We haven’t been great this season at all. Some of that is due to injuries (more than some tbf). Some of that is on the players like Cozens, Tuchs slow start, Okposo/Girgensons/E.Johnson being terrible, etc. But some of that is also on Donny and the coaching staff. The Powerplay sucks, Donny consistently gives vets like Okposo, Girgensons and E. Johnson more playing time and important minutes over better guys who deserve it more. His player usage has not been great. He didn’t seem prepared for games like on opening night or against PHI the second time. I can also say hes great at developing players and I’m greatful for what hes done with Thompson, Mitts, Skinner, Dahlin and Greenway. All these things can be true. Why does it have to change from one game to another?

Olofsson is another great example. Hes been really good at 5v5 so far this year (believe it or not). Does that mean I want to re-sign him? Nope. Its been 20 games. But does that mean I should be giving him some better playing time? Sure why not? If hes playing well lets take advantage. I don’t have to pick a side like hes shit or good. I can just analyze the situation for what it is and go from there.

They still need a new coach and assistants for this team to get to the next level. AND we let Peca go. But the blame to get to next level is with president/owner Pegula. He calls the shots. And he ain’t hiring big name, next level coaching talent, and those coaches may not want to come anyway, knowing this structure in thinking ain’t changing.

I think it’s okay to both believe that Donny has been better than our recent coaches while admitting that he may not be elite.

I like how anybody with a less than optimistic opinion is immediately labeled “doomer” and is looked down on here
