  1. Noticed he uses a reverse-tracking approach similar to Demko (reverse-tracking = a skate on each post as play goes behind the net) BUT since he's shorter he's often up on at least one of his feet. Same technique but a neat adaptation for a smaller goalie to try. I also noticed that his reading of the play must be very good, because on a few shots he was in his tracking stance so long before seeming to casually read "okay, shot's gonna come", and he's only in a ready stance and the butterfly for a fraction of a second where most goalies would want to be getting low and wide much earlier. You have to read really well to get away with that. Vasy or Demko by comparison really kinda put themselves in ready positions, especially in RVH situations, and then they're great at these reactive explosive movements from those positions, but watching this is just seems like Sheterkin has so much TIME on his hands and spends less time on his knees regardless of what's happening. He also doesn't play with a lot of flow really.
