  1. Okay, now I’m really losing faith in GMBG. What in the absolute fuck

  2. FrankReynolds

Hynes has never coached a team to higher than a 4th place divisional spot and is 4-15 in the playoffs.

  3. MordinSolusSTG

As in, like he gets this season only? Otherwise, OOF

  4. roll_tide5

Sorry Wild bros- y’all deserved way better than Hynes…- Preds fan

  5. of course it got worse i was a fool to think it wouldn’t

  6. odd-duckling-1786

Billy is really going hard for that top 5 pick isn’t he?

  7. Empire2k5

I’ll miss dean imo. He was fun. But guess tank the rest of the season and get the unlucky lottery pick #16.

  8. Lmaooooo literally the worst coach they could have gotten. Guerin has got to go

  9. Enjoy the most uncreative and unadaptable hockey system you’ll ever see while he also stunts the growth of your best prospects. This guy is a fucking clown and the fact that he still gets work in the NHL is proof that only like 5 people in Hockey even know what they’re doing.

    My condolences, Wild bros.

I predict this will be a bad decision based on nothing but the fact that I kinda liked Dean and Preds fans seem to be saying Hynes is a clown. I wonder if Woodcroft was available.

  11. Guerin and Leipold trying to speedrun Dumpsterfire it looks like.

  12. TheSkeletones

How do you pick the single worst option? The fuck is Guerin doing?

  13. stumpybubba-

Holy fuck, what a dumb fucking move. Hopefully this is just a temporary switch.

  14. Stromster

So, extend Foligno, Hartman, and Zucc taking away some of the precious cap flexibility we will have after the dead cap era, now firing Deano for a much much worse coach who is known for not only losing but killing prospect development. Guerin, what are you doing? Are we being Hextall’d?

  15. frequentlysocialbear

I think we need to remember that Hynes isn’t meant to be permanent

  16. letoiledunordstars

Yeah cuz he was so successful in Nashville……wait

I’m not the avid Wild follower that a lot of you guys are but I always felt like Dean was a placeholder until we got through the Parise/Suter contracts, hopefully Hynes is a good tank commander and they get a young innovative coach in next spring.

BG seems to be creating a good ‘ole boys club in coaching and upper management. Assuming that this was more on Leopold rather than BG, but still not a good look.

DE had his faults (playoffs and grit over scoring), but the issues are just as much roster construction as coaching. Players were not responding to coaching and something had to give.

Hopefully, they take the A away from Foligno. Dallas really showed that the Wild would rather hit/take stupid penalties than score, have a horrid PK, and are coached to play too aggressive. Seems like BG has focused on fourth line grit mentality over talent.

  19. As a preds fan I sincerely apologize for what you will be witnessing very soon. Hynes isn’t absolutely terrible however he does have his glaring issues when it comes to developing young players. The only reason we were so close to the playoffs last season was because our team was so injured and the young players who all developed well in Milwaukee came in and gave us some new life. You may or may not remember the tolvanen situation. I pretty much put 90% of the blame on Hynes for that whole situation. He does try to get his teams to play hard though if that means anything

  20. OlGrizzzzzzz

Meh. But it usually works for a while. Everyone will laugh but isn’t Bruce Boudreau available? He is a waaay better coach than Hynes.
