    i see a very big weakness in juolevi's defensive skills.. some players i have seen just breeze rght by him on his left side

    My thought is at least Juulsen is a right handed D. Former first round pick and a decent reclamation project. If he could become a 7th or 8th D, I think that’s basically Juolevis ceiling anyways.

    I'm guessing a 3rd round pick in return. 2nd round at best. If they get a good pk guy in return, that would be the best outcome. Cuz it looks like they could really use a good pk specialist.

    I am happy Oli gets to play, he deserved to be on the team but they want Rathbone in the lineup so they can get off to a horrendous start again this year. Rathbone needs 20-30 games in Abbottsford to season him, he just makes too many mistakes right now. The team already turns the puck over way too much in the danger zones and a rookie that makes those mistakes all the time is probably not going to make it any better. Either way they go 20-30 games in, the team is going to be pretty damned good if they can focus on the defensive game and execute on it. The goals are going to come for sure. The trick is to get through the first 20-30 games without digging themselves into an insurmountable hole that they can't climb out of to make it into playoffs.

    It's too bad. Juolevi's time in Vancouver reduced to a mere footnote in Canuck history when he was projected to become a top 4 d-man. 5th overall…hindsight is 20/20, but a team just can't mess up with a 5th overall pick. I wish Juolevi all the best and I hope he becomes a vital cog in the Panther system. Thanks, Clay.
