  1. I don’t even get mad at the games anymore I just laugh at how bad they are. Dj seriously needs to go. Other coaches are being let go and they haven’t been on their teams half as long as dj. Just get a replacement until the end of the year and hire a new coach when more are available

  2. Sens have lost 7 of their last 8 at home, and they didnt play teams like the Bruins, the Rangers, the Golden Knights or any of the top teams in the league. This has to be the firing of DJ Smith. Wait till December comes along. They lost to LA, Florida, Islanders with 4 defensemen all game, Canucks, Lightning without Vasi, the Sabres and the Wings. They are 1-7 in their last 8 at home, and the way they are losing, that had better be the firing of DJ. Look at the first 20 games over DJ's 5-year career. He has won 24 games out of 80. 24!!

  3. Oh man that was brutal. I think that's it for the playoff dream guys…this team is not going .607 the rest of the way to get in. They're last in the Eastern conference again…no way they climb over 8 teams to get in. sigh.

  4. At this point, our team messed up. All these year with Pierre we pretty much messed up this team. I think Mike fixed this team with a cap dump. We trade Joseph, Tarrisinco, and Chabot at the NHL trade deadline and free up cap space. Get Pinto and get him finding his game again for next year.

  5. MacEwen maybe didnt go about it the right way but someone had to go after Matthew Tkachuk there. You cant have guys slashing your goalies after the period with no consequences, that's a joke. Take care of him and move on the headshot wasn't needed but Matthew knew it was coming and Matthew Tkachuk making threats isn't scary he's not gonna do anything

  6. This came down to special teams… this should be one of our strengths, especially the PP.. but it's been failing hard lately.. officiating was terrible, I'm not sure how that 2nd goal wasn't offside, and getting scored on during the PP from the failed review just killed any momentum the team had

  7. We can complain about Zack MacEwen doing his thing tonight, but why did he have to do it? Brady didn't do his job…which, sorry to say, was to fight his brother at the end of the 2nd. No more stupid bromance (literally)… he is literally paid millions to lead the team, and at the end of the 2nd, what the Sens needed more than anything (maybe more than anything all season), was somebody to kick Matthew's ass into next week. He doesn't do it, so we end up gooning it up and then Sandy has to throw fists, which is definitely not what he's there for. Brady running around like an absolute clown at the end of the 2nd, slapping like a baby and not even addressing the actual problem – Matthew. Travesty.

  8. Nicely done Ross 00:21:30 🙂I couldn't agree with LalimesMartian more, they need a new voice in that dressing room who has been there and done it. Solidarity brothers, SOLIDARITY!!!!

  9. That game was so bad Im almost done watching hockey for the season. Im done being positive, fire the entire coaching staff, bring in whoever is available to finish the season. i dgaf anymore

  10. The Sens won 11 games in a row with Cory fucking Clouston back in 09-10

He was fired after one bad year (not a good coach who was scared to talk to players)

Paul Maclean was fired after a four game losing streak (yes the players tuned him out) but his leash was shorter than DJ’s

Dave Cameron was fired for starting Matt O’Connor for the Home opener. He only got one full season as Head Coach. Shorter leash than DJ

Guy Boucher had two bad years (shorter leash than DJ)

    Something has to give

  11. "I think frustration is turning to anger. I hope they are as angry as we are," Evason said after a 4-1 loss at the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. "What makes me mad is we’re making the same mistakes, and the same guys are not pulling their weight. Most nights, our mistakes don't give us a true chance of winning the hockey game."

These were the comments of Evason prior to being fired. Does this sound familiar to how the Sens have played at home? It does Evason his job, and last season the Wild were in the playoffs. DJ has not even come close to sniffing the playoffs over 5 years. Time to go.
