Vladar stock will rise tremendously if he starts putting up games even somewhat close to that. He has shown he has the skill but he is inconsistent at best.

Also, with Zary being benched in the third it’s not ideal but this team of forcing Huska’ hand because they comeback whenever he benches a skill player

A few takeaways from last night:
– flames look WAAAAY better over the last few weeks. Marky has been above a .900% which is great, Vladar has been a stellar backup, Hubby and Kadri have done a 180 (not fully there yet but miles ahead of the start of the season and on the right track to be back to their old selves), defence is slowly figuring out switch from man on man to zone coverage and it’s finally looking a bit better. young guys have been great too! It’s nice to feel like the future of this team is in good hand. And frankly, the boys look like they’re having a good time.
– depth in scoring! Blake Coleman currently leads the team in goals! Yes we want our top 6 to score more, but take the W’s where you can get them. This is a team that creates chances and scores from all 4 lines. I like that… especially if Lindy and others really heat up.
– last few weeks, win or lose, this team has been fun to watch! I can’t believe it! I think one of the big reasons they’re fun to watch is they’ve slowly started to regain some of that 2021-22 scoreboard doesn’t matter, flames can be down 2 or 3 goals but they’re not finished until the final horn, “I didn’t hear no bell” mentality. It’s fun to watch a team that can come back from a deficit big or small.
– now the bad 🙁 turn overs have been pretty bad. Last night was full of them, we got our asses saved by goaltending more than once. Passes are still off a the time, how many times last night was it almost a guaranteed goal and someone at the net couldn’t receive the pass. The team needs to shoot more, too many plays for pretty passes. I don’t care if it’s ugly, a goal is a goal. And ofc the PP is terribly, but it was looking a little better last night. As far as I’m concerned these are all issues that can be fixed, nothing that’s wrong with this team feels insurmountable right now.
I like the direction of this team the last few weeks. I’m feeling hope (I know, most dangerous thing a flames fan can feel), I’m just gonna keep the positivity train rolling and take the wins where I can get them. I think we have the best team and fans in the league. GFG🔥🔥🔥
