  1. 52.1 Slew-footing – Slew-footing is the act of a player using his leg or foot to knock or kick an opponent’s feet from under him,

OR pushes an opponent’s upper body backward with an arm or elbow, and at the same time with a forward motion of his leg, knocks or kicks the opponent’s feet from under him, causing him to fall violently to the ice.

You don't need the arm to call it a slewfoot. This was every bit of a slewfoot. Why the league refuses to call them is insane. Even infractions WITH the arm motion, they still call tripping or interference. It's bizarre.

  2. Even though I am still not keen on the game going back to two fights per night, I think the lack of the enforcer has given a lot of dirty players a wider berth to be this way. And as long as they get chicken-ass penalties like this, it will just get worse. I don't think Hartman is going around slew-footing people if he knows he's got hell on skates coming after him later when he least expects it.

  3. This was a dirty-arse play….and then the dude acted like it was all just an accident and wouldn't drop em. No room for this crap in the league…Glad the Cat is alright

  4. I knew that that was a sleewfoot, but 2 game suspension? Completely unrelated, but when Trouba whacked Trent Frederic in the head with his stick, he didn’t even get penalized. This league is a mess and something needs to change.
