The Minnesota Wild announced Monday they have fired head coach Dean Evason and assistant Bob Woods after seven straight losses. Evason was in his fifth season with the Wild and had a record of 147-77-27.
The team will introduce their new head coach on Tuesday at 9 a.m. CT. Watch the press conference live.

I hope this guy ends the sqwashing of player's skills for a defense first ideology in a game that is now built on speed, not grinding. Lord knows the roster was not built on speed but hopefully the skills will come back to life a bit. It's still the same guys that lost 7 straight and only won 5 games thus far!
You need more than 5 -6 guys out there working hard. The guys that work every game have been #7, 23, 14, 20, 21, 26 with Kirill being doubtful!
