I didn’t learn that the Leafs won last night until waking up at 6:30 this morning.
Needless to say, today is a good day.
I ventured into the Panthers sub last night and let me tell ya, both of their fans were as mad as I’ve ever seen. You love to see it.
Woll was great last night. Best game in a month by far.
Gregor also with a great game. Was vocal about keeping him on the fourth line but maybe a couple double shifts with some better linemates might be in the cards. That being said these flashes with no consistency has been his knock since SJ.
Willy played well again and Matthews was buzzing, still expect more from him though, needs to start cashing his chances. Also thought Marner had a good game despite the donut in the box score.
D is getting thinner and thinner with Gio out, hopefully we bring someone in soon.
Did Marner ever come back into the game?
We have 2 winnable games this week and a chance to get very close to the top of the division, I hope these fuckers can get it together.
Domi got his ass beat but then hit Bennett with an all time chirp.

Kampff for all he does gets pushed around too much. McMann, Steeves, Gregor as a 4th.
Oh, and Domi…quit trying to pass all the time like Gretzky…take a damn shot on net once in a while.
I also instantly turned it off after that shootout goal last night and was shocked this morning. My question is was that too many men call actually legit? It looked fine to me but the big babies on the other team called it and then the ref did too.

I switched channels as soon as the ERod shot went in, didn’t know the Buds pulled the classic uno reverse until this morning lol. Guess it’s nice to get an extra point
Saw a few people complain about Matthews being a -1 and saying he didn’t hustle on the back check for Florida’s only goal. Thought I’d post this here instead of a bunch of other places. Here’s why getting on Matthews for that goal is bullshit.
Matthews had just come onto the ice for Tavares and there were 3 Leafs already below the crease. If Matthews flies into the zone then no one was covering the point. Go back and watch McCabe on that play, it is honestly some of the worst defending I’ve ever seen.
Lomberg throws Nylander down, stick handles three times, then throws a pass in front of the net. By the time Lomberg makes that pass McCabe isn’t even at the top of the circle, but decides to finish his check for some dumb fucking reason. It’s dumb because Gio was left alone in front with three Panthers players. You’d think McCabe would realize his mistake, but instead he slowly glides and waits diagonally behind the left side of the net, not covering anyone. Woll also should’ve had the angle. Normally Gio should’ve done a better job but I’m pretty sure he had just broken his hand. That goal is on McCabe, Nylander, Woll, and Gio (although he should get a pass for the injury) before it’s ever on Matthews. You would hope Matthews trusts his teammates enough that 3 guys could cover one player in front of the net. You see when he gets on the ice he takes a few big strides then glides so he’s covering the section of the ice between Stenlund and the blue line. Again, you’d hope that Gio, Nylander, and McCabe all being below the hash marks next to the net could cover one guy.
I think it’s time to give Marner a little credit after last night. I know he hasn’t been great and that his production is lacking, but that man took a puck to the face, said fuck it and came back out and finished the game. You could see how swollen his face was yet he still got in front of shots. He made a great hit on one of their defenceman. The guy may not show it the right way at times, but Marner is pure heart and he loves this team.
Laughed myself to sleep. I woke up, continued laughing.
