Interesting “trade possibility” article on Josh Anderson I came across this AM

Interesting article on Josh Anderson I came across this AM. Not a likely trade of course but interesting nonetheless

What’s in it for the Habs? Simple contract swap doesn’t cut it

None of this seems likely. He’s just some former WCW announcer (of all things) speculating about hockey trades now. He has zero insight.

  3. Anderson and Hornqvist could not be more different lol. This guy is clueless

I can’t see management totally giving up on a player that they could have got a first rounder for last year, after only 20 games this year. I’m not saying Anderson is worth a first (this year or last year), but it would be basically admitting to making a big mistake if they did just dump his contract.

  5. I mean the funny thing is the article alludes to a way that Anderson can become more useful for the habs:

    >But he could be the net-front presence on the Penguins’ top power play, and that has the potential to fix a lot. (Full disclosure: Anderson isn’t that guy on Montreal’s power play, strictly speaking. Sean Monahan mostly handles that. But Anderson has the size, disposition and skill set to do it for the Penguins. He’s familiar with the low slot.)

Instead of a trade maybe the habs could just do that? Also this sort of reads like fan fiction of the three names one is on his last year, Rust is 31, and one is on LITR. lol.

  6. Absolutely insane statement that Josh Anderson would be a good net front presence for their powerplay. Josh Anderson shouldn’t even sniff anybody’s PP1. J.A. has had 21 powerplay points in his 478 game career. Patrick Hornqvist had 22 in one 70GP season. This article is out to lunch.

  7. Removing Josh Anderson from this roster without adding anyone else would be an automatic net improvement. The numbers don’t lie, he drags down EVERY LINEMATE. He’s taking valuable playtime from much better players.
