I wish the blues would go back to the whites at home and the darks on the road

I think it’s the greatest comeback in professional sports history.

That game is the reason I never (well, very rarely) turn off a seemingly shitty game.

  4. I remember that game fairly well. After the Blues got the first goal, the Leafs just went into panic mode and the Blues were all over them the rest of the game. The Leafs fans honestly helped, because you could tell they were panicking, too.

I had stopped watching the game but I had the Blues website up and back then, when a goal was scored, a horn that would sound. I heard it go off a couple of times pretty quickly and went back to catch the final four goals. Great finish.

What? I get to tell my story again? I was in HS, they re-broadcast it again on Sunday, I think, with it just being clips and commentary. My brothers saw me watching and I told him I’d bet the him the Blues would win. He thought it was live, we had a really fun afternoon watching and I distracted him so he couldn’t tell it wasn’t live.

I remember this game very well. I’m not sure why I kept watching exactly, but I remember Ken Wilson saying, after MacInnis’ goal made it 5-3: “You don’t think, do you? Could you come back from a five goal deficit in the third period?”

And FSMW referred to the game as “The Wild Wednesday in Toronto.”
