Not to start the debate between them again, but it’s nice to see that Cooley isn’t that much ahead of Slaf.
Cooley only has 13 pts in 21 games (9 on the powerplay) vs Slaf with 7 in 22. While we all knew Cooley would be doing great on the offensively/powerplay, it’s nice to see that Slaf isn’t MUCH behind in pts, bringing more physicality and blocking shot. All that while playing 1min20 less on average.
Nice bonus: Slaf as a better % on faceoff (42.9 vs 42.4)

Watching him starting to better understand pace and be more in rhythm with the flow of the game is fun. That shift in the 2nd when him and Cole were finding each other all over the zone was not something Slaf would have been able to sustain 10-15 games ago.
