  1. @ 4:00….The single most important statement by an Oilers Head Coach since 2009….the late respected NHL Icon Pat Quinn was the last Oiler Head Coach to correctly parse and handle the vernacular and the terminology to ensure content and context were aligned. Communication is a KeyStone component of every Championship Team, if there is one single commonality that we can point to it is Elite Communication . Everything starts with being on the same page and turning corners together. Thats enough about the intangibles and qualities of the game lets get focused on rolling our State of Affairs over again against the Jets. There are no gifts in the NHL , like in Dune you keep what you kill, no other rules apply. Time to put on the workboots and grab the Lunch Bucket.Anyone interested may seek the connection between the Oilers current State of Affairs and Mark 12:10-11 its the allegory we are interested in not the religous diety based Dogma. Circumstances can always rotate 360 degrees , its simply the mathematical reality we all live in.

  2. Attack the Goalie and theJets East/West with wraparounds and Nametag shots and short pass tap-in Give-and-goes in the O-Zone as a 1st Option 5×5 for the first 2 Periods, focus on extra "safe" decisions in the top 6 Group so discuss it before the game, we want a defensive Saw-Off with the Jets first 2 lines and less mistakes from our side because they drop off of a cliff after that but we do not….if we limit our mistakes within the Top 6 we will set up the Stage for our hard working Trench Fighters to do their jobs and we will win the game from our Depth positions which is what balanced Teams can do and which seems to be a strength and growing part of the Oilers Identity that we were overlooking early in the year . Keep the solid high blueline defensive awareness and pressure up and if their Defense tries to penetrate then do your best to check him center body mass with your legs driving through so he is impeded and you can roll over him and turn it around on him. Dont let him catch you flatfooted so he can bait you and wiggle past you. They like to flood the slot and isolate him up top which is a double edged sword because gives him a smoke screen to hide in but it also leaves him all alone back there if anything happens like a bobble of a puck or a stumble or a trip. Steady heavy pressure over 60 minutes will pay dividends. Call this a Rope-a-Dope game for 2 periods then if needed we can fire up the Afterburners for the 3rd Period….lets rely on some tactical pace during the race with this game. I would expect a close but exciting game thats a lower scoring game something like 4-1 Oilers. Its a bad idea to try to run and gun with the Jets because they like to make Hay early in Games…so lets make it a Mexican Standoff for 2 periods then like a Great White we can just drag them deeper into the game and feast on them there in the 3rd Period. This is a very very important game and must be managed correctly so lets lock them down and then open it up in the 3rd and run them over by forcing them to make mistakes with our higher level skill and touch. Talk about it and execute on the PP because you will get a steady diet of Powerplays against the Jets so you could get lucky and bury them early. No matter what this is the Jets so its going to be a Workmanlike Game…. be ready and be steady. (KYSOTI especially up high defending)

  3. The difference between Knobs and Woody: "Regular lines" "Regular pairs"

Woody was the blender machine just like his mentor Todd. This is what got him crushed vs Vegas and also why players often had miscues with each other.
