We in all honesty are at the point where Stamkos and Hedman are pretty much done. Kuch and Vasy are ticking time bombs that maybe have 2 years after this at this level then who knows. Once either of them go down in quality like Hedman and Stamkos and we’re done. So retool, clear cap and see if we can get 1 more in the next 2-3 years. After that we’re full on done

Well this is was one of the games of all time
Honestly that felt like the worst loss of the season. After the Crosby goal you could feel the energy change from one they were going to win to one they were going to lose even though they were still up one. Miserable.
This team is not playoff worthy same shit happening labilities and didn’t do nothing on that pp also the fact we let a goalie score on us just is straight out embarrassing
Pain.
On Saturday, I’ll say all day that I won’t watch the game because I don’t wanna be sad or angry.

This is honestly getting embarrassing. Making the playoffs will be tough at this rate, we would score no goals without Kucherov and even he played like shit today so yeah. FUCK

Dallas the next two games, Pens again, then at Nashville, and then the Pacific northwest/western Canada road trip which has been rough the last couple of years.

in all honesty if the team keeps looking completely uneven until the trade deadline i’m curious if jbb stands pat or even sells. i remember reading an article that both stevie and jbb both consult with vinik and i recall vinik says go ahead, IF the team is a contender, make the buys
i wonder if the FO will accept that kind of reality (that they’re NOT a contender for at least this season) with a now aging core, or at least two aging core members. title teams/organizations have a lot of pride
would a ruthless FO like vegas trade stamkos if they thought they were out of the playoff race and didn’t think they could meet his contract demands?

Not trying to be extremely negative here but just pointing out what’s basically a fact: our chances of making the playoffs are really low.
We have multiple teams behind us who are only two points behind and who have multiple games in hand over us. For us to hold onto our spot, we’d need to start stringing a lot of wins together while simultaneously hoping those other teams don’t go streaking. Right now we can’t even manage to get a point against Arizona.
Jeff blashill needs to exit stage left and not come back. This defense is talented on paper but blashill’s system doesn’t. Fucking. Work

Worst loss of the season so far for me. But there’s still way too much time left to give up on the season and say tear it down and rebuild.
Gotta be a little more patient. I still believe we have the best coach in the league, a top 3 goalie, and what is arguably right now the hottest player in Kuch. They’re capable of going on a run. I know the rebuild is coming. But this team has proven it doesn’t need to be a top 3 seed. Just get in.
I know last year we were spiraling towards the playoffs yet we played better in that Toronto series than we had in months. Stay behind the boys. LFG Lightning
This has been the story of the season and if we can’t do something about it then we all know what this year will be.
Lately it feels like I’m not even turning on the game to think about a win, just the next Blashill and usual suspect masterclass. Changes need to be made.
