  1. Overall, pretty embarrassing game. I know it might seem like it’s just a trend to harp on Petey but he simply has not been a good player by the standard he sets for himself for a few weeks now. Whether he’s hurt, his contract is on his mind, or he gets into mental gaps against superior teams he really needs to get this shit figured out if he’s expecting 12+ million dollars a year

  2. IpleaserecycleI

People do remember Pettersson from the first half of 2021-2022 right? It’s not just me?

This stretch looks very, very similar.

I’m not saying I know what’s wrong or anything, just feel like I’m crazy with everyone acting like he’s never done this before

  3. AckkMachine

I cant believe i was so excited for this game. This was so disappointing. I hope the boys find their groove soon.

  4. YirbyBond00Y

Colorado now Vegas, we can’t just hang with these cats it seems (I am also a Canucks fan)

  5. Welp, you know where the bar is now. Still 5th in the league, beat a hot Calgary team Saturday

  6. NikkahEff

So for the past few weeks, I’ve been saying the canucks have been eating so much ass and everyone’s been down voting me saying that the Nucks have deserved their wins they’ve had for past 3 weeks.

I’d be interested to here those folks now because honestly they just got clapped and showed that you can just play 40% and expect to beat good teams, you’re not going to see a bunch of bottom dwellers all season. I hope this is a reality check for everyone who thought they actually deserved to win some of the games they played these past few weeks and won. They got fucking destroyed and clapped tonight, no one played well besides maybe the garland line but this should be a reality check that this team isn’t good enough.

The reality is they are either going to play Vegas or LA in the first round and if it’s Vegas I can guarantee this will be an easy sweep. This is the difference and the Nucks need to get their shit together if they want to even win 1 game against Vegas. Next few games, the teams are running hot as well so good luck with that.

I hope rick does a bag skate because the guys need a wake up call.

Brutal effort in a game against the top of your conference.
Dont care if we lost against a better team in the end if we played with heart, but where the fuck is our top 6? Totally MIA

And us playing for 20 of 60 minutes AGAIN. We didnt bring anywhere close to our best game tonight.

I’d be pissed if I spent money for tickets to this one. No urgency, soft on the puck, looking like we hadnt prepared for this game at all.

  8. LordHarkon1

Soucy Zadorov Suter gonna bring us back to form dont worry about it

  9. My main takeaway from that game was that I forgot Ben Hutton existed

  10. ComfortableTasty2202

Probably the worst game this season by us… looked like we accepted the L before the puck even dropped, utterly afraid of the great VGK. Hopefully we learned what it takes to play actually elite teams.

  11. CamaroGirl96

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Miller-Boeser-Kuzmenko line for the next game just to see how they do. They seemed to mesh for the one period they played.

Obviously something going on with Petey. And the Mik/Petey/Kuz line just isn’t working.

  12. Losses adding up. Not sure what’s more annoying, the losses or Drance commenting on the losses.

  13. Holyshitmuffin

We lack hardworking grit forechecking forwards

  14. I only saw bits and piece of the game but the stuff I did see the canucks absolutely didn’t fucking show up.

  15. TheAngryChickaD

Im done with Pete for a while. Get your fucking shit together. You hold out in contract talks because you want to “focus on the season” and fucking disappear for 12 fuckin games straight, Well. Not even disappear, be visible in the worst fucking way you can as an “all star” player. Man’s asking for Matthews money while putting up 5 points in 12 games. Please.

  16. Dongerated

So much for accountability. Petey playing like shit and still game after game gets rewarded with more playing time. At this point he’s trying to break the ice with his body harder than trying to win games.

  17. Kokevinny

The truth is that the Canucks are a middling team at best, and now their true colours are showing.

  18. HanSolo5643

Vancouver once again didn’t play a full sixty minutes and didn’t start the game on time, and it cost them. Vancouver looked lost out there and looked slow. Demko was the only reason it wasn’t 6 or 7 for Vegas. Pettersson needs to sit for a game or so because either he’s hurt or something else is up.

  19. dogcatcher408

This is the gold standard, this is where we want to be. I know we got trucked, but I hope they look back at this game and remember what it takes to be a contender. And how much work is still needed.

  20. manicdragon

Canucks didn’t prepare enough for this game. Hate to say it, but they were out coached. Our players didn’t seem ready for Vegas back checking. We were constantly outnumbered and couldn’t get passes through. Review the tape and try again next time.

  21. pluralsight24

Shades of the bubble playoff series against these guys

  22. UraSnotball_

This was not good. However, the top 6 have gone from world beaters to… whatever the hell this is. Just like that was unsustainable, I don’t think this can continue.

  23. To think Vegas had been on struggling a bit leading up to this game. Sure asserted their dominance tonight. Yikes. Not sure what is up with Petey or frankly all the top guys right now.

  24. at the start of the season after a good handful of games I identified Soucy and Suter as 2 of the biggest difference makers on the team. fuck my life

I’m not willing to throw the towel in on the team, but really have no interest in watching again until those 2 come back because this team does not have the depth to compensate for losing them. All we can do is hope for .500 hockey in the meantime

  25. julesieee

Millsy post-game interview now. He’s blaming himself and taking accountability.

  26. Garland is the hardest working player on the team, guy shows up to every shift. Need that work ethic in our top 6, could have been a different game. Lets pump the Flames

  27. There goes the bandwagon fans giving up again.. they played sloppy tonight but we’re still 5th in the league. Something obviously needs to click in their brains but when it does we can play better again. Tired of people seeing a loss and dismissing them

  28. It really feels like this team is at its best when they simplify the game. Don’t know what it is about our guys but it seems like they’re perpetually trying to make highlight reel plays

  29. keefstrong

Team gives up early goals and the fans in the building typically have that nervous energy. Our impressionable players feed off it.

Here’s hoping zadorov pummels some guys next time we go down. And get the whole arena juiced
