Folks! we're already in December 1st, and both of them are dead last in their respected divisions.

Don't worry Sens fans, as Dorion said: "The rebuild is over". This will be the 7th year in a row they miss the Playoffs and the 9th in the past 11 years. Why was Dorion here so long? They have a .444 winning percentage, good for 27th in the League. Unfortunately Pinto was suspended for 41 games (ridiculously long IMO) and his offencive brilliance is missed. Batherson is having off year and he is a wonderful hockey player. I don't want to put anyone out of a job but the Coaching leaves MUCH to be desired. Hopefully the new Ownership will put great coach behind the bench; my choice would be Gerrard Galant. I really hope Chiarelli is NOT made GM, he was horrendous in Edmonton; will that job go to Staios? I bleed Red, Black and White and miss the days the Sens were among the elite leading in wins, goals scored etc. I just hope the Sens don't squander the time we have hafevwuth good players. As Toronto has with Marner. The Sens also need some big, tough D who will make others aware once they cross the blueline.
While DJ is clearly a garbage coach I think it's time to take the delusional glasses off and realize this Senators team is utter dogshit. Even if you put Jon Cooper behind that bench they'd still find ways to lose every game other game and be a .444 team come december, then be completely out of the playoff picture by January that's just this Ottawa Senators team' identity.

First period aside, this was actually a solid effort from Columbus. Merzlikins stopped 41 of 43 attempts (or close to that), the power play actually worked, key players showed up, and most importantly of all, they actually generated offense in the last 10 minutes of the game to keep it a two-score affair.
Now if only they could consistently do that…
