  1. I saw the play and worst case Ontario would’ve been a Kirby Dach-esque disaster, so while I’m definitely bummed, I’m also somewhat relieved.

  2. We talked about the habs breaking the record of injuries in 1 season. I wonder how crazy it is since our run in final. It must be insane…

Why do injuries always happen during a hot streak? When analysts and fans start to praise a player he gets injured.

Edit : hot streak might be an overstatement.

Hope for fast recovery for Newhook but if Slaf is being put with Anderson on line i swear i will lose my shit

  5. Thats definitely not worse case scenario. He could have broke his ankle in which case that would have likely been season ending.

He will be back by the deadline

Wake me up when Dach is back till then idc

  7. Shitty injury for a player for who his skating is by far his best tool.

    Eventually…something good has to happen.

Same shit, different season. I feel awful for Newhook, he wasn’t lighting the world on fire or anything but I thought he was playing some decent hockey for us. Hate that all of our injuries are coming to the young guys that we need to develop.

This really hurts our forward group, we’re down to 3-4 players that I would call reasonable top 6 options at this point. December is going to be rough if you’re a fan that likes seeing this team score goals. Really hope Marty puts Slaf-Suzuki-Caufield together and gives them exclusively O-Zone starts, not sure where the goals are going to come from otherwise.

  10. Genuinely we must be smashing the record for most injuries in a 3 year period.

The worst is it always seems to happen when a player really starts to pick it up. The hockey gods owe us a 2017 Dallas level draft haul for all this pain we’ve been put through.

Short term bad, long term good for our trip to the podium in June

  14. Can we have our shit players injured instead of the ones that are actually fun to watch? Fucking hell what’s the point of being a fan of this team?

I was so excited for this season, but losing Dach made me lose hope lol, I’m not even surprised at this point. I like Newhook, but I literally feel nothing from this news. Carry on Habs…

Watching the play where he got injured, it’s honestly not as bad as I would’ve thought. I thought his knee twisted and that he hurt his knee, which would have possibly resulted in an acl/mcl injury which can be a lot worse, depending on if there is a tear or not.

Still sucks though, as we already have way too many injuries on our roster

Worse case? Nah, for this team with its injury track record that’s reason to celebrate.
