  1. Terrible take on Hronek. If we were to trade him today, we would be pissed with the return we gave Detroit. We gave far less value than he was worth. Strategy of paying players is totally unrelated, and falls into the category of stupid arguments people have not wanting talent because then you have to pay them. You take the talent all day long and figure out the cap

  2. To be fair, Jason Dickinson & the 2nd round pick was traded to get under the cap. In that off-season, they signed Andrei Kuzmenko & Ilya Mikheyev without giving up any assets; and also re-signed Brock Boeser. Painful to give up a 2nd round pick, but well worth it for what the Canucks did in the off-season.
