BOSTON, MA — Brad Marchand scored a natural hat trick in the third period for the Boston Bruins, who rallied for a 3-1 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets at TD Garden on Sunday.
The Bruins entered the third period trailing 1-0, but Marchand scored three goals in a span of 5:50 to lift Boston to its third win in a row.
“I don’t think it matters what you’ve accomplished or what you’ve done in this league, it’s hard every night and that’s just proof that … confidence is a huge factor, too,” said Marchand. “Whether you have it or you don’t can really drastically change the way you play and view the game. It’s just about having a good mindset and sticking with it. There are so many other details in the game that go into scoring.”
Jeremy Swayman made 24 saves for Boston (17-4-3), and Charlie McAvoy had two assists in his 400th NHL game.

He decided to shoot tonight. This guy either shoots a lot or never does. He tends to pull a McAvoy, NEVER shoots.
