Not enough quite to cover off OEL…… or is it…..?
About what was projected in the offseason – Capfriendly still has it marked as 87.5. We still gotta re-sign Petey and Hronek, who are both due for big raises, decide if we want to hang on to Zadorov. It’s still a bit iffy but with the moves that Allvin made this week it gives us a little more breathing room. If we sign Bear in the next few weeks we’ll also want to decide where we’d want to go with him too.
Not a small sum. Hopefully ownership can handle this.
I would like to take the opportunity to inform everybody that I performed several hours of complex long division, squared all the roots, and consulted with Ask Jeeves, and I can now comfortably confirm, that this is GOOD news
5% is the max they can increase without a negotiation between the League and the Players, which coincidentally is 87.675m. Obviously, the players would want a bigger increase, but like this offseason, the league has no incentive to give it away and so will not.
Such BS, the economy in the states has been cooking so hard. They are using the perception of a bad economy to justify keeping the cap low. Cowards.
Cole, Myers off the books.
Re-sign petey to 11-12m, hronek to 7m, zadorov is likely gone as he’s going to want more than 4m+ (and he will get that on the open market). Something has to give… maybe we can trade garland but then we lose the guy that is making our third line go right now.
We desperately need podz to make the team next year to take garlands spot.
