This is my favourite Oscar moment. I love that the audience sang Happy Birthday to James. I remember Tom and Ross came to Dublin for a Q&A of the short film, I met them and they let me hold the Oscar. It was about two days before my birthday and I will treasure that moment in my life. It was the best birthday ever.
The short film Noor from Pakistan should have been nominated. But since it’s a “health” movie it didn’t. Oscars have a problem with health movies. That explains why Ellen Burstyn lost for Requiem For A Dream and Super Size Me lost Best Documentary Feature. No health movie ever won and nothing will change that
At least Ireland did win something. Was hoping that either Barry Koeghan would win or Paul Mezcal or even A Quiet Girl. But Ireland wins
I'm glad the Oscars committee chose this to win this award. Some day, I would like to join the Academy of Motion Pictures & Sciences to sit on the Oscars committee.
