  1. he i the most useless defenseman i have ever had the displeasure of witnessing. I'm sure he's a nice guy. But any one else in the world that is that bad at their job gets fired.

  2. I think if they were able to find a suitor for Myers, they would have done it during the summer. If Soucy is out for long enough, that actually clears enough cap space for a league minimum like what Bear would likely sign to anyways.

  3. Don't see a point to trading him right now, his new contract will likely be in the 2 to 3 million aav range. The team also needed Zadorov to help manage Quinn Hughes and Hroneks minutes. Even if they bring in Bear, I don't see any way they bring in one or two dmen to replace Myers without giving up Boeser, Hoglander, or a first.

  4. No the deadline return wont be enough nor the cap relief wont be much because they will have to retain most of it. Might aswell think of him as a playoff rental for RD depth. Hope im wrong.

  5. Why keep? It doesn’t matter the price if he can’t play his minutes. The moment an injury happens and his minutes increase, the team suffers.

  6. Just let Myers play out the season and let him walk. His price is just way too high for the type of player he is. Soucy and Zadorov are both better players then Myers.

  7. It would be great if they could figure out a way to get garland and Myers off the team for more size upfront and better defensive D – I don’t know if that’s a realistic possibility though.

I couldn’t want Myers off the team more. Everytime I watch the game I see him turning it over, passing to no one, icing the puck, knocking players into our goalie, flopping around in the crease after a goal is scored, and shrugging his shoulders and skating away without even a word or stick to pads of our goalie. It makes me sick to watch it.

  8. This 6ft 8 pylon has cost the canucks on average a goal a game sometimes 2 goals a game with his giveaways, dumb penalties and leaving players wide open. I'm not even mad at his cap space. I'm mad that he can't even play on the level of an entry level deffencemen. Even with a 1 million cap hit for other teams, no one will take him.

  9. They have to resign half their team next year so why would they spend Tyler and Conner money if this was the case.I honestly dont see them paying Petey 11/ 12 Smill.

  10. Myers has trade protection and a 6 mil cap hit. I would be surprised if he was traded. He will not want to be traded to a bottom feeder team when he can play in the playoffs. That said, I think Bear will be acquired and push Myers down the line up, and perhaps push him as far as the seventh spot.

  11. I’m not sure if Meyers is out of shape and has no hockey sense or just clumsy and uncoordinated! Either way unless one of the coaches can make him change his ways….trade him!

  12. Let’s say they retain 50% and trade myers is he worth something? That frees up 3m anymore than enough for Bear who’s an improvement…

  13. Myers single handedly caused at least 3 of Van's losses. Terrible penalties, being a pylon in Demko's crease, pucks bouncing off him straight into the net. Get him outttttta here. Bear is legitimately a better player at 1/5th the cost and they could spend the rest on someone else. Myers and Garland account for 11m and they'd have lots of depth to choose from with that kinda space. Although a 10 team no-trade clause does complicate things.
