The Toronto Maple Leafs will have a couple of their top prospects looking to showcase their abilities with Team Canada at the World Juniors. To help give a breakdown, Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti are joined by Kyle Cushman who gives his thoughts on the rise of Easton Cowan and Fraser Minten. Kyle breaks down what Minten and Cowan can provide Team Canada and why they should feel good about their chances to make the team. Mike and Dave get Kyle’s thoughts on some of the other prospects in the Leafs system including Nikita Grebyonkin, Dennis Hildeby, and a couple of players who could be of interest to NHL teams as trade chips. Cowan is 4th in OHL power play assists which is interesting because Canada don't have a lot of really high end power play guys. I wonder if he could work well with Celebrini with both guys having good hockey sense.
The prospects are intriguing because we could see them next year. Of course we could also see them moved to solve the defense. Though I would prefer to see them move on from some roster players over either either Minto or Cowan to solve that problem.

Am a huge fan of Easton Cowan and Fraser Minten congrats to them both being invited to team Canada Camp both should make the team. These two guys shouldn't be traded we need like the delvope in the system I hate our organization trades theses types of player we need new players in the lineup and move away from these core 4 thing
