The Victoria Royals scored a shorthanded goal and a power play marker as they won their first game on home ice of the year as they defeated the Prince George Cougars 2-1. Keanu Derungs’ second period power play goal was the difference on the scoreboard, and goaltender Adam Evanoff stopped 33 of Prince George’s 34 shots.
