The Boston Bruins shook off a 3-game losing streak by shutting out the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.
Danton Heinen scored the eventual game winner and showed great poise on a new look second line. He earned first star honors and was similarly lauded by head coach Jim Montgomery and captain Brad Marchand.
Jeremy Swayman’s 26 saves earned him 2nd star, while Trent Frederic’s grit was good for 3rd.
Up next: a winnable game against the Maple Leafs in Toronto, where you can also visit a new Centennial exhibit at the Hall of Fame.

Happy birthday
A much better, tougher test coming Saturday.
The sharks are so bad that theres nothing the bruins could have done against them to make me feel better, but at least they didn't make it worse. The beginning of the game continued some of the worrying trends of the previous 3 games, so thats not ideal. I guess we'll find out whether or not they righted the ship tomorrow.
