Genuinely hope Watson gets suspended for that. That was fucking stupid
Someone tell me how to feel about the game I just had it on in the background and could barely watch
IM mad that we lost, but even more mad that Kuchy didn’t get a point. Stamkos and Point have been terrible lately. Didnt even think we played that bad
That game was detrimental to the soul
We basically need to score 4+ if we want to win games without Vasy. We have mental breakdowns that constantly costs us 1 or 2 goals in a short time.

Didn’t expect much from the B2B, but if Coop was fed up enough to pull JoJo with 8 minutes left I can’t imagine how the team felt. We’re finally getting production from the 2nd and 3rd lines the last few games, but Stamkos and Point have to step up now too.
Ok we can stop with the charity case experiment with Jonas. Send him back to the beer leagues and let’s go get someone that doesn’t have a mental breakdown trying to grab a puck.
I’m not gonna get too mad at a loss in the second half of a back to back with travel where our backup goalie had a shit night and the other goalie, who is a top 5 goalie in the league, did not. Need to get it together for the rest of the road trip though, we need points badly.

Missed the game because I expected the usual 2023 Bolts road performance. Same as usual?
Not that Saros was giving many up, but it felt like we weren’t going hard after rebounds. The ones we did got walled off which, that’s hockey. But passing up shots in front of the net and watching rebounds from the circles is not it. On a night like tonight against that goalie we needed to be going for tips, screens, rebounds.

I thought four things:
* we we’re tired as fuck
* NO ONE, NO ONE at all wanted to play today
* Our D needs work
* NHL FUCKING SUCKS AT SCHEDULING
Can we talk about the fact that this might honestly be the worst team in the league when playing from behind. We go down 2, and have 4 straight powerplays where half the time we can’t even get into the fucking zone. Just abysmal.
Also, I really wouldn’t expect our road win % to go up any. When you only have one line that’s actually a threat and the opposing team gets last change you’re pretty well screwed.
One positive thing is we don’t have another back to back until New Year’s Eve. So Jonas shouldn’t even sniff the ice until then
Why is it that the people on the Facebook Group Lightning Strikes Literally bash on you for being real on certain subjects. Ill get to the Point. Johansson was terrible. He’s literally the soul reason why we’re not farther up in the Standings. The team finally gets themselves together. they start firing goals. and BOOM. Jojo steps in net every 3 or 4 games later. causing the team to fall out of sync. for like the next game. Its a cycle! he’s so bad it jams the system!
My somewhat uneducated educated thoughts:
– Had good puck possession but didn’t translate to enough high danger chances. Sure lots of shots… but not great when you fire right into the goalies stomach.
– definitely got out goalied tonight by Saros
– definitely got undergoalied by Jojo tonight. He knows he’s better than that, so I hope he finds himself again. Harder when you only play 1 every ~10 games.
– the last few games we’ve been passing particularly slowly on the PP. it’s a couple of stick handlings before stamkos/Hedman/Kuch are able to pass/shoot. Allows Saros and other goalies to easily read the play. I can’t speak to what the opposing teams are doing from team to team though to make us have to do that (uneducated thoughts)
– something is up with stammer. Even with that video he did with the kids at target, he just looked tired. Hope all is well with him. He needs a few one-timers to go in and I’m sure he’ll get the pep back.
– I like when we play Koepke. Not sure why he’s getting scratched for Watson.
I can’t wait to see them in Seattle and Vancouver. Crossing my fingers for some excellence!
