  1. Sharks will ruin somebody's chance at a playoff spot – goes to show us that a good coach is better than a bunch of high paid ballerinas in one team.

  2. Even if they go back to how they were, as long as guys like Eklund and Zetterlund are still progressing makes it actually entertaining and enjoyable to watch

  3. We know as fans that this team could be dead last and still not get the #1 pick. We honestly just want to watch competitive games and lately they have done that for us. Go Sharks

  4. I think right now, the Sharks have accepted that Playoffs is out of the question for them. At this point they’re in “FUN MIST BE ALWAYS” mode and just playing their heart out.

Ontop of that I feel like Hertl has really come into his stride taking that Captain role as seriously as he can while Cooch is out. Along with the team as a while finally coming together and understanding how to properly play together and find their stride as a team.

Right now what matters is getting the young guns accustomed to the team and showing them the ropes and getting them ready.

Also Shanon, I love ya, don’t you dare bring the idea of Hertl being traded into the world. Right now, he is the only real glue this team has. If he is traded off, it will cause things to collapse. In the Fanbase as he is the face of the team, and possibly on the ice as he is the real guiding light right now.

I think once Cooch is back on the ice, and we have a better attacking core, and another Vet to help the young guys, I really think it can help expedite this rebuild.

I doubt we’ll be seeing them in the playoffs until 2027 at the earliest. But for now I think this is a good sign.

We sharks fans aren’t Watching for wins. We’re watching for improvement in the team. If a win happens we’re over the moon. Otherwise we take what we get.

  5. Ducks would appreciate the Sharks sweeping up the basement before they leave and return it to how they found it. Ducks had it comfortably setup.

  6. It's truly been a wild ride these last few games. Nice to see the team get more production out of guys they could get assets from

  7. Isles blowing that 4-1 lead to San Jose is a microcosm of both of their seasons. Islanders losing easy games they should have won, and the Sharks winning a game they had no right to win.

  8. It's so nice to see a team as bad as the Sharks to go on a run into respectability . I care nothing about the San Jose Sharks but I love to see a team in the dumps go winning!

  9. Even as a Sharks fan, I do think some of these recent wins are just a blip, but the way they keep fighting seems to be an identity they've internalized. So I still think they'll finish last in the NHL but they'll definitely catch a few more teams sleeping along the way.

  10. There are several factors at play in winning hockey games: Skill (obviously), morale (team spirit, pride), luck (BIG factor), grit (a combination of physical excellence and will power, hitting ability). As I have watched the games over the years, I have come the recognize morale and luck as the deciding factor in games. What do you think?

  11. It’s fun to be a Sharks fan again. Not based on wins but being able to compete and feel pride in my team

  12. die hard sharks fan here, this stretch of hockey has been fun and adds some hope for the future. I love seeing how Eklund has developed this year, and I hope Hertl sticks around and becomes team Captain and leads the kids forward. Couture seems to be hurt and the team has kept his injury a secret mostly, but at some point, I have to wonder if he would fit in with this faster, grittier team. theyre evolving without him and having some level of success and backbone, not seen in a while.

  13. the start of the year was one of the lower moments i felt as a sharks fan. knew they’d be worst in the league, yet was still somehow let down.

the last 16 games or so have been one of the higher moments i felt as a sharks fan. they are what they are, but it’s so much fun to see this team not back down.

granlund has been a DAWG. zetterlund? DAWG. eklund hertl? DAWGS. kahkonen? DAWG. blackwood might be struggling recently, but before that? you know it. DAWG.

i thought a sign of growth was how they responded after the seattle blowout. they played a close game, didn’t let things get out of hand, still lost but got a point. then they beat the team that beat them 10-1 the very next game. the team from a few weeks ago would’ve been walked all over. now? not so much. only further proven by the detroit game. down 4-0 in that quick of a span, in weeks past the game would finish 9-0 detroit. instead they came back and won.

my expectations aren’t high, but this is important for building a good culture for guys like eklund, will smith, gusch, etc. been a lot of fun to watch unfold, hopefully it helps build success for years down the line

  14. As a Sharks fan, I have been impressed with how they changed their ways and gained that warrior spirit where they never gave in. I know we're not making the playoffs, but it brings me joy to see them come out and raise hell.

  15. I was spouting that this Sharks season will look like the 1992-1993 Sharks season. In the beginning of the season they made me look like I knew what I was talking about. And now they look more like the Sharks of 1993-1994. That team was so much fun to watch, ended up making the playoffs and stunned a #1-seeded Detroit team. This last game against the Red Wings had that same feel. This is now a fun team to watch just like that 93-94 team . A healthy Couture and maybe a timely pick up or two and this team might repeat that fantastic season! Time will tell…

  16. The Sharks are giving up a lot of shots, even in most of their wins. I expect them to finish with 50-60 points. They're 8-17-2 right now. I think that 24-51-7 is a reasonable possibility for them. I don't expect them to continue winning half of their games like they have been for the last month. I expect them to win about a third of their games.

Especially if they're smart and they trade their goaltenders to teams that need goaltending like Carolina or New Jersey, it'll be tough for them to get more than 60 points this year.

  17. Agree with all, but definitely think Detroit didn’t bring their A game. As Lalonde said, they looked casual. Which is true. Detroit was outworked most of the game. Deserved the loss unfortunately. Embarrassing night to be a Wings fan 😂
