  1. if we are targeting any Shark it should be Mackenzie Blackwood. He's been impressive on a bad bad team.

  2. Ferraro is a very good defenseman on a very bad team. He was a first pair guy there when healthy for the last three years. He would slot in well in Toronto on the second pair but could play first pair minutes in Toronto. He makes 3.25 million a year for three more years. He is good, he is young, and he is inexpensive so San Jose has zero motivation to trade him. If Toronto wants him San Jose will not retain salary and they will have to get someone good back. Someone good and someone young and or a first round pick.

  3. Come on with this stuff. Toronto is already in for $97m and they're going to go on a shopping spree? With what? Let me guess, every other team is going to retain 50%, trade a dman to a 3rd party, who's going to retain another 25% and then gift said player to the Leafs in exchange for "future considerations"? Maybe Treliving should have just added a defensive dman instead of a broken down Klingberg and Ryan "useless" Reavo? I know…crazy talk expecting competence from a Maple Leafs GM. Everyone hated Holl in Toronto, but now the Leafs need a right shot stay at home dman…and instead Brad "the idiot" Treliving adds John Klingberg? You couldn't make this stuff up. That guy was always heading to Robidas island to keep Muzzin and Murray company.

  4. Abruzzese has zero trade value, which is also why Leafs fans always want to include him in packages. Please stop mentioning him, he’s cannon fodder, a nothing prospect nobody cares about but us.

  5. I'd prefer a heavier stay at home type D. Mario may be a decent player, but he's never had a season with a positive +/-. I said in the summer I would have rather had Acciari and Schenn instead of Klingberg. Championships are build from the back and up. Quality goaltending, solid defense, skilled forwards. The Leafs have skilled forwards covered, but their defense is not very strong and their goaltending is also questionable. While Woll has had a great year, he's now injured.

  6. I like ethan Bear, a right shot and I would like to see Max Lajoie get some playing time even though he shoots left. why have depth and not use it?
