It's nice to see Tyler Bertuzzi contributing and being an impact player for the Leafs. Maybe it's time to try out this mix for a week or two with more ice time. The Leafs certainly have the makings of an emerging power forward in Matthew Knies. If these guys can solidify their defensive game things might get interesting. Who sits if they get more ice time? Marner, Matthews, Nylander, Tavares, and Reeves. Morgan Rielly gets a little more ice time so he can practice being a defender who's not on a PTO to be a winger. The top three could use a shift or three off in the second period. That will allow them to have more energy for third period heroics. If heroics are needed. Hopefully not but… it's the Leafs and it's only been one game where they looked absolutely dominant and capable; demonstrating the commitment to play a full responsible game.
